SAFD: 5 people, 3 dogs and a kitten displaced from apartment due to fire

Officials say the apartment is made from cinder block, so there was no structural damage to the dwelling.

SAN ANTONIO — Five people, three dogs and a kitten have all been displaced from their home after a fire broke out in their apartment on the west side this morning.

It happened just after 3 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Krocker Way near Ceralvo Street.

Officials don't know how the fire started but they are investigating. They estimate the damages to be around $5,000. No injuries were reported.

This is a developing story.
