SAN ANTONIO — The Salvation Army needs you!
They say they are dealing with a major shortage in bell ringers for the Red Kettle campaign.
They have more than 100 locations and a variety of shifts available.
The Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraiser, the Red Kettle Campaign runs through Dec. 24, and the organization is aiming to make sure that every site is staffed every hour of every day.
“For whatever reason, we just aren’t getting enough volunteers this year,” Area Commander Capt. Josh Robinett said. “It’s the worst-case scenario when many of our locations remain empty at various times. During periods when a bell is silent, a kettle cannot raise any money, and these funds are critical to help us meet the needs of our community.”
