SAN ANTONIO — Three people, including a 7-year-old child, were found dead inside a north-side apartment complex, the San Antonio Police Department said—the result of an apparent domestic violence situation.
Authorities were conducting a welfare check at an apartment in the 13100 block of NW Military Highway around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
Inside the apartment, 43-year-old Jeremy Martinez, 37-year-old Shannon Martinez and the couple's young daughter, Bailey, were found.
Police said it appeared Jeremy shot his wife and child before turning the gun on himself.
A relative of Shannon's hadn't heard from her since Saturday, and asked for the welfare check.
Chief William McManus tweeted the following hours after authorities reported the details. "Help is out there when needed," he said.
