San Antonio International Airport unveils new brand after record-breaking 2023

In 2023, the airport had a record breaking number of passengers as 10,676,570 people used the airline.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio International Airport unveiled a refreshed brand for the airport and Stinson Municipal Airport after a record breaking year in 2023.

This marks a significant milestone for the airport which is continuing to to add more international and domestic flights.

The airport broke passenger records every month since May 2023 and had a total of 10,676,570 people use the airline last year alone.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg attended the announcement and spoke about the record-breaking year and how they are planning to build off of the positive momentum in the upcoming years.

"San Antonio International Airport is in the midst of a very historic time, this is our time," said Nirenberg. "By mid 2028, you'll be walking in a brand new terminal with up to 17 additional international gates and this means greater connectivity for our region spurring jobs, international mobility, economic development and strategic growth."

Nirenberg also noted that the airport was named 2023 Business of the Year by the San Antonio Business Journal, as well as being ranked as the number two Mid-Sized Community Airport in the country by the Wall Street Journal.

After a few congressional leaders spoke on the growth of the airport, Director of Airports Jesus Saenz Jr. joined the podium to unveil the airport's new look.

"With the support of our partners and community, I'm confident that SAT, as well as SSF, is well equipped to embrace growth and innovation on an international scale," Saenz said. "We are a hub where cultures converge and journeys begin. It is my honor to unveil a significant milestone in our airports history. The launch of our new brand"
