SAPD: Man in critical condition after he was shot in the head on the northwest side

Police say they do not have a suspect description at this time. Investigators are speaking to witnesses to get more information.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police are investigating a shooting that happened on the city's northwest side Saturday afternoon.

SAPD said officers responded to a call for a shooting in progress on the 1400 block of Pasadena Street. Upon arrival police said they found an injured male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was transported to University Hospital in critical condition.

Police said they are unsure of the motive and do not have a suspect description at this time.

Investigators are speaking to witnesses to get more information.
