Several men hospitalized after multiple knife attacks on west side, police say

Police do not have any suspects in either attack.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say several men are in the hospital following multiple knife attacks on the west side late Sunday night.

Officers say several men are in the hospital after a fight on Persyn Steet. Then a separate stabbing involving two homeless men broke out a few blocks over outside of a gas station on North Zarzamora.

Police say two homeless men got into some sort of altercation, then one man stabbed the other.

It happened around 12:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Zarzamora Street near Culebra Road. We are told the victim was stabbed in the arm and back. The suspect ran off and at last check hasn’t been found.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Three other men are also in the hospital after a fight earlier in the night. Police responded to a house on Persyn Street just before 10 p.m. for reports of a cutting.

Investigators found four men with cut and stab wounds to their bodies. Three were taken to the hopsital while one was treated at the location.

At this point, police don’t know how it started or why.

For now, both of these cases remain under investigation.
