SAPD: Man suffers non life-threatening injuries in road rage shooting along I-35

Police said when the suspect is found, they will likely face a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police said a man was shot at during an apparent road rage incident along I-35 on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the victim, an adult male believed to be in his mid-30s, was grazed on his left ankle and transported by EMS to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

There was evidence of a bullet hole on the left driver's-side door, according to SAPD, but police were not able to identify an exact crime scene or shell casings.

The victim reportedly pulled into a Dollar Tree parking lot off the I-35 access road and O’Connor where he contacted police.

The suspect is still at large but investigators believe they are driving a white Audi.

Police said when the person is found, they will likely face an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
