SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Zoo has unveiled an annual pass that will provide visitors unlimited scenic adventures through Brackenridge Park onboard the historic Zoo Train.
At just $25 per person, the annual pass allows families to enjoy year-round rides onboard the C.W.T Express, a newly introduced diesel-styled engine that pays tribute to the park’s rich history while offering a modern and thrilling train experience, according to the zoo.
The railroad was built in 1956, becoming the longest miniature railroad in the world at the time. Formerly known as the Brackenridge Eagle, the historic train takes passengers along the tracks on the banks of the San Antonio River at Brackenridge Park, and to various stops including the Witte Museum and the Japanese Tea Gardens.
The zoo says the fleet boasts an inclusive and comfortable experience with enhanced amenities such as increased leg room, improved seating arrangements, upgraded sound systems and full ADA accessibility.
