San Antonio Zoo unleashes holiday wish lists for the animals

All of the zoo animals have been nice this year and can't wait to share with you what they want for Christmas!

SAN ANTONIO — All of the zoo animals at the San Antonio Zoo have been good this year, and they are sharing with you what they hope Santa will bring them this year for Christmas.

The San Antonio Zoo wants everyone to be a part of the animals' lives by getting them some treats to fill their stockings.

The zoo says enrichment plays a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing of the animals in their care by using variety, novelty and surprises. Every animal, no matter how big or small, gets enrichment tailored to their specific needs, promoting increased activity levels, more natural foraging behaviors, improved body condition, greater group cohesion and more.

The San Antonio Zoo's Amazon Wish List is just filled with goodies that will make all of the tails wag, feathers flutter, and scales glisten. Take this opportunity to show your favorite just how much you care this holiday season.

"We are thrilled to invite our community to be a part of the animals' holiday festivities," said Tim Morrow, President & CEO of San Antonio Zoo. "By purchasing a gift from their Amazon Wish List, you directly contribute to the wellbeing of the animals at San Antonio Zoo. It's a wonderful opportunity to create magical moments for both the animals and our community during this special time of year."

You can visit the Amazon Wish List here and explore the different categories, like mammals, birds, reptiles, and more. Every category offers specific enrichment items meant especially to help them live their best lives!
