SAN ANTONIO — According to an SAPD press release, an off-duty SAPD Officer was arrested for domestic violence assault.
The release says SAPD Officer, Mark Andrew Sanchez Jr. turned himself in Tuesday morning after the victim filed a police report on Nov. 11.
An arrest affidavit says the victim had scratches and bruises in multiple locations, and she told authorities that he pushed her in the kitchen and she briefly lost consciousness.
Officer Sanchez was immediately suspended without pay and SAPD is conducting an investigation, according to officials.
Officer Sanchez had been with the department for five years and was arrested for assault bodily injury-married/cohabitation.
