SAPD: Bicyclist hit by driver after allegedly ignoring stop sign

The man was taken to BAMC and is expected to be okay.

SAN ANTONIO — A bicyclist was hit by a driver after he blew through a stop sign near downtown late Tuesday night, according to police.

It happened around 11:34 p.m. on East Crockett Street at North Grimes Street.

Police say the man was riding his bike when he allegedly ignored a stop sign and was subsequently hit by a driver in an SUV.

The victim was taken to to BAMC and is expected to be okay.

The driver of the SUV will not be facing any charges, police say.
