The victim was a back seat passenger.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed late Saturday night when the car he was a back seat passenger in lost control and rolled over, ejecting him from the vehcile, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the 21700 block of Interstate 10 around 11:45 p.m. for reports of a rollover crash.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 65-year-old victim outside of the vehicle.

Officials say the man was sitting in the back passenger seat of a white 2024 BMW X3, when the driver  veered to avoid hitting some construction cones on the access road. The driver lost control and drove into the grassy median, then flipped several times.

The victim was ejected from the BMW and sustained life-threatening injuries. EMS arrived and started life saving measures, but after about 10 minutes, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This case remains under investigation.
