Police investigating after woman found murdered

The suspect has not yet been identified or located.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are trying to figure out how a woman died and if a man seen near the murder scene is responsible for her death.

Officers were called out to the 200 block of Prestwick Boulevard near Goliad Road for an assault around 10 p.m. on Friday night.
When officers got there, they found the 42-year-old woman with apparent head trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness told police they saw a man driving away from the scene and then a short time later, that man came back.

The witness told officers he was in fear of his safety, and shot at the car as the mysterious man tried to take off again. Officers later found the car abandoned at a park nearby.

Police say the suspect ran away and they haven't found him.

The victim has been identified as Nora Torres Martinez, 42.

This is a developing story.
