Driver crashes into SAPD officer's vehicle on the northeast side, officials say

According to San Antonio Police, no serious injuries were reported.

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio Police officer is recovering after a driver crashes into the officer, according to SAPD Thursday night.

The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. near Harry Wurzbach Road and Eisenhauer Road. 

Police say the police veteran was struck by a small SUV with other passengers inside the vehicle. The driver of the KIA turned into the officer while attempting to make a right-hand turn, according to authorities.

Officials say the officer and everyone in the other car were checked out by EMS and they're expected okay. 

According to San Antonio Police no serious injuries were reported. 

Police tell us no one is facing charges for the crash at this time.
