Police are searching for the suspect who shot two women, critically injuring one of them, during an altercation on the south side of town.
Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Mission Road near East Huff Avenue around 4 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting in progress.
The two victims, a 28-year-old and a 27-year-old, were both shot. Police say one was shot in the arm and face and the other was shot in the pelvic area. Officers say that one of the women was seriously injured and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second women appeared to have just been grazed by the bullet and did not require medical treatment.
Police say that based on the information they gathered from the victims, an altercation with the suspect led to him pulling out a weapon and firing off multiple rounds. That suspect then fled from the location in a dark-colored SUV.
Police were unable to find him.
This investigation remains ongoing.
