SAPD: Man shot in leg while trying to sell some jewelry

Police say the two men may have been trying to rob him when he was "accidentally" shot.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police are searching for two suspects believed to be involved in shooting a man over some jewelry on the east side of the city.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. on the 1000 block of Frank Street, near Fort Sam Houston.

The 19-year-old victim told police he was trying to sell some jewelry when he was picked up by the two men, one of whom was a friend of his. He told officers they "accidentally" shot him in the leg while trying to rob him, then dropped him off at the corner and drove off.

The victim was taken to BAMC with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Detectives are investigating.

This is a developing story.
