SAPD: Two people wounded in drive-by shooting downtown

Police say that the two victims were taken to a downtown hospital by their friends.

SAN ANTONIO — Two people were wounded in a drive-by shooting that happened early Sunday morning in the downtown area, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the 600 block of Indianola Street near East Cesar Chavez Boulevard around 2:15 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

Police say that both victims were outside of their parked vehicle in a parking lot when an unknown suspect drove by their location and began shooting towards them. The two victims, ages 18 and 15, as well as their vehicle were struck by gunfire. They were taken to the hospital on McCullough by their friends.

Their injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police did not identify a suspect at this time.
