SAPD: Two dead, three injured in Olive Street mass shooting

The shots rang out Sunday morning in the 1200 block of North Olive, a neighborhood well known by police. In several different locations, they discovered the dead and injured. Now they are trying to figure out just what caused this mass shooting.

SAN ANTONIO -- The shots rang out at about 1:30 Sunday morning inthe 1200 block of North Olive, a neighborhood well known by police.Three of the shooting victims are in stable condition asinvestigators try to figure out what lead to this mass shooting.

The call came in to police headquarters around about 1:45 Sunday morning. The caller reporteda shootingin the 400 block of Sherman. Oncepolice arrived at the scene,they found the first victim, 18-year-old Sachary Medina. Medina wassuffering from multiple gun shot wounds.

Medina told police he was shot at a party around the corner ata house on North Olive Street.

That is where policefound their second victim. That victimhad also beenshot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Then, as authorities were processing the scene, another officer was flagged down at I-35 and New Braunfels ata gas station where the third victim, 17-year-old Andrew Ramirez, who was also found shot dead.

A short time later two more shooting victims showed up at Santa Rosa Hospital with gun shots wounds.

Both 17-year-old Edwardo Amezquit and 18-year-old Louis Benagas say they too were shot at the sameparty.

Police described the shooter as a White or Hispanic male who stands approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall.

They believe there may have been another shooter involved.
