SAPD: Two men found shot on city's west-side

One is in critical condition and the other is stable at this time.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating after two men were found shot on the city's west-side early Sunday morning.

It happened around 3:51 a.m. in the 700 block of Old Valley Hi Drive near Medina Base Road.

Officers responding to a shooting in progress call found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived. They learned that another victim, a second man in his 20s, was driven to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his hip.

Police questioned the friends who drove the man to the hospital and were told they had been at the original scene.

Officers are trying to determine if the two men were shooting at each other or if someone else is responsible. Police did find a weapon at the scene, as well as shell casings.

The man with the gunshot wound to his head is in critical condition and the one shot in the hip is stable at this time.

Police will continue the investigation.

This is a developing story.
