SAN ANTONIO — Seguin ISD posted on Facebook about possible social media posts targeting Seguin High School Thursday.
According to officials, staff members are investigating social media posts that alleged violence against the high school. The district is working with law enforcement on this matter.
Armed security officers have been posted to the high school campus during the school day and Seguin Police will also be patrolling the area near the school, according to district officials.
The following post was sent from Superintendent Dr. Veronica Vijil:
Seguin ISD takes the safety of our students and staff seriously, and all reports are thoroughly investigated. Parents are asked to talk to their children about saying something if they see or hear anything out of the ordinary, and the importance of not spreading unsubstantiated information.
Please be reminded that Seguin ISD uses P3, an anonymous reporting system. Reports can be made by logging on to the district's website or by visiting https://www.p3campus.com/Drill.aspx. It takes all of us working together to keep our students and staff safe. We appreciate your help in continuing to make Seguin ISD and our schools a safe place to learn.
