SAN ANTONIO — A shootout on the westside between two men ends with both of them in the hospital, according to police.
San Antonio Police responded to the 700 block of Leal Street near N Colorado Street around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a shooting in progress.
The investigation of the shooting actually stretches over two locations on the west side.
Police found one man shot in the shoulder on Leal Street, where they say the shooting happened. Police say he was shot by someone in a white car, before returning fire. The driver took off and the man was taken to BAMC.
The other guy was found shot about 20 minutes later nearly a mile away, on the 900 block of W Myrtle Street.
Officers say the shooting could be gang related.
The driver who police say originally opened fire called 911 to report he had been shot in the leg.
Officers say he was detained at the scene and taken to the hospital. At this time, its unclear what charges both men could face.
