Silver Alert for Leon Valley woman discontinued

The alert was only active for about an hour before the missing 81-year-old was found.

SAN ANTONIO — UPDATE: The alert was discontinued after about an hour as Salinas was found safe.

Authorities are searching for an 81-year-old woman who has gone missing from Leon Valley.

Sally Salinas was last seen at about 5 p.m. Wednesday night  in the 5600 block of Bandera Road, according to a Silver Alert issued around 7:20 p.m. Salinas was described as 4'9" with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a baby blue beanie, a black pullover, blue cotton pants and tennis shoes.

This comes with temperatures in the 40s and dropping amid an arctic blast in San Antonio. Anyone with information on Salinas is asked to call the Leon Valley Police Department at 210-461-9140.
