Silver Alert discontinued for missing 79-year-old man

GARDEN RIDGE, Texas — A Silver Alert has been discontinued for a missing 79-year-old man from Garden Ridge Thursday afternoon.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 79-year-old man with cognitive impairment who was last seen in Garden Ridge on Wednesday.

Gordan Chisenhall, who has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment, is 5'10" tall, weighs about 168 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing his glasses, a checkered short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes, and is missing the tip of his left middle finger. 

Garden Ridge Police say he was last seen around 3 p.m. in the 9500 block of Sumac Circle in Garden Ridge and may be traveling in a silver 2014, GMC Sierra with Texas license plate 5TWSMThe vehicle has a dent over the rear passenger side tire.

Law enforcement officials believe his disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety.
