A new July Fourth event is coming to downtown SA, and the festivities are starting early

The weeklong Alamo City celebration promises to bring river parades, a drone show and chances to salute all military branches.

The brand-new event is packed with fun for the whole family in the heart of San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO — River parades, live music, a free drone show and more are being promised as part of a brand-new event coming to downtown next month to celebration the nation's independence. The newly revealed Stars & Stripes on Houston Street will feature a week's worth of events, from July 1-7. 

A street parade on Houston, picnics in the parks, brunches, themed movie nights, paleta and popsicle pop-ups, and cocktail events are also coming to the heart of the city, giving the whole family a chance to participate.
