SAN ANTONIO — A tenth grade student was stabbed at LEE High School on Monday afternoon.
San Antonio Police responded to a call at about 3:30 p.m. Monday for a cutting at the high school, located at 1400 Jackson Keller Road.
North East ISD officials confirmed a student was injured but is alert and was transported to a local hospital.
According to school officials the student got into a disagreement with his friend and his friend stabbed him in the torso.
Police say the stabbing happened in a hallway at the school.
District officials initially put the school on a "hold" following the incident and dismissal was delayed.
NEISD officials confirmed the friend is also a LEE student and they are working to locate them but a description was not provided.
SAPD and NEPD do not believe there is a threat to the school.
Police say a weapon was not found.
