Suspected drunk driver crashes into home, SAPD says

The driver was arrested on charges for DWI.

SAN ANTONIO — For the third time this week, a vehicle has crashed into a home, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the intersection of Pleasanton Road at W Sayers Avenue just south of downtown around 1:15 a.m. early Saturday morning for reports of a vehicle hitting a home. Luckily, the bedroom was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

Police said the 43-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was treated by SAFD at the scene. The driver was arrested on DWI charges.

CPS was notified for a downed power pole.

No other information was provided. No other injuries were reported.
