HURST, Texas — A local AMBER Alert issued in late September has been discontinued after Hurst police say she had returned home unharmed.

Because the AMBER Alert has been discontinued, WFAA has removed the girl's name and photo from this story.

The local AMBER Alert was issued after she was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 29.

In an update on Oct. 5, Hurst police said they were notified that the teen girl, who is a special education student, had returned home and was unharmed. Police said her disappearance "appears to be voluntary at this time."
