SAN ANTONIO — A former Edgewood ISD educational aide has been arrested for improper relationship between a teacher and student after allegedly touching a child inappropriately, according to an arrest affidavit.

The incident took place on Jan. 24 but was reported to the school by police on Wednesday stating that Lyndon D. Johnson Elementary aide, Duke Robert Aguirre, allegedly touched a 7-year-old girl inappropriately, according to the affidavit.

The parents of student said their daughter told them Aguirre was acting as a substitute when she says he "touched my bottom" and stated last week around Feb, 13 he "told me I was cute when he had touched me."

Officials say that while interviewing Aguirre he admitted to having a sexual attraction to the student and to watching child pornography 10 years ago.

Edgewood ISD said Aguirre is no longer employed at the school.
