SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating after a teenager accidentally shot off a piece of his hand late last night while playing with a gun.
San Antonio Police responded to the 200 block of East Sonterra Boulevard near Stone Oak Boulevard and Loop 1604 around 9:49 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived at the apartments, they found a 16-year-old boy had blown off a piece of his hand while playing with a gun, according to SAPD. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. No word on what his condition is at this time.
Police are trying to figure out who the gun belongs to.
