Teen shot twice while sitting in his vehicle after getting off from work, police say

The teen was shot twice, once in the arm and once in the leg, and taken to University Hospital.

SAN ANTONIO — A search is underway for the person who shot a teen behind a restaurant on the west side of San Antonio, police say.

San Antonio Police were called out to the parking lot of a restaurant located in the 6600 block of West Loop 1604 just after midnight for reports of a shooting in progress.

Police say the shooter took off after firing at the victim’s car multiple times. Officers aren’t sure if this was a targeted attack, but say that is something they will be looking into as part of this investigation.

As for the teen, he was injured but is in stable condition. He was taken to theUniversity Hospital after he was shot twice in his own car. Police say he had just got off work and into his car when the shots were fired in his direction. The victim was hit twice, once in the arm and then in the leg, before the gunfire stopped. 

By the time police arrived, the shooter had already took off from the scene.

For now, they are still looking for the person involved. If you saw or know anything, call police.
