The state is ready to give back millions of dollars to their rightful owners, and you could be among them.
State Comptroller Susan Combs says Texas is currently holding more than $2 billion in cash and other valuables, waiting for the rightful owners to come forward and claim it.
The money comes from unclaimed property, forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, security deposits and utility refunds.
