MAP: City of Corpus Christi lifting water ban in select areas

Local officials say there will be a partial lifting of Corpus Christi's ban on tap water. City officials are meeting to determine which areas will be in the clear. 

Local officials say there will be a partial lifting of Corpus Christi's ban on tap water. City officials are meeting to determine which areas will be in the clear.

Late Thursday night, Mayor Dan McQueen declared Calallen, Flour Bluff and Padre Island as safe areas. Residents living in those three areas of town can resume use of tap water.

The City of Corpus Christi has released the first map of selected areas of the city that have been cleared to use the tap water again. The areas shaded in blue represent the safe areas where the ban has been lifted.
