'Most embarrassing day of my life' | One year ago, Dallas woman went viral in 'not real' plane outburst

"One year anni of the most embarrassing day of my life. Cheers to many more," Gomas posted to X on Wednesday.

DALLAS — It was Fourth of July weekend, one year ago, and we were all introduced to the viral "not real" Dallas plane woman

The incident happened on July 3, 2023, though Tiffany Gomas was not identified as the woman in the viral video until nearly a month later in a video she posted apologizing for her actions. Gomas was on an American Airlines plane that was heading from DFW Airport to Orlando. The plane was still at DFW Airport when the incident unfolded.

The viral TikTok video showed Gomas walking up the aisle of the plane during what appeared to be an outburst over something. Gomas then turned around and began pointing toward the back of the plane, saying someone on board was "not real."

"And you can sit on this plane and you can f------ die with them or not," Gomas said on the video. "I'm not going to."

In the immediate wake of the July 2023 incident, American Airlines officials confirmed that a customer was removed from the flight, but did not publicly identify Gomas as that person. Her name eventually surfaced in online reports released a month later.

DFW Airport also issued a statement, confirming that officials responded to a disturbance aboard a flight at Terminal A.

"The passenger deplaned the aircraft at the request of the airline, and left the airport without incident," the DFW Airport statement read.

"One year anni of the most embarrassing day of my life. Cheers to many more," Gomas posted on X

Social media users on X commented on the anniversary, some dubbing July 3 "Tiffany Gomas Day":

Since her rise to Internet fame, she's made numerous appearances with the Barstool Sports crew and other popular Internet shows.

Ironically enough, one the same day she went viral, Gomas said she'd be getting on a plane
