HOUSTON — Rapper and philanthropist Trae Tha Truth plays Santa Claus for the Houston community all year long, but before 2023 ended, he decided to fill his toy bag with some last-minute gifts.
On Saturday, he and his Relief Gang passed out hundreds of blankets and jackets to the homeless in downtown Houston.
"Woke up and decided to bless a few hundred of the homeless with jackets and coats for the cold on behalf of my daughter @iambabytruth," he wrote on his Instagram page.
In the middle of giving back, he was joined by comedian Cedric The Entertainer, who Trae said had just landed in Houston. Cedric The Entertainer is in Houston for his comedy show on Saturday at Sugar Land's Smart Financial Center.
"When we see so much adversity in the world, we show people that it's folks doing good and willing to do good and wanting to do good, and that becomes uplifting man," Cedric The Entertainer said.
Trae said sometimes it can be the big things or the small things, but it all matters to the people who need it.
