Two homes engulfed in overnight 3-alarm fire in North Texas

FLOWER MOUND, Texas — Two homes were affected by a three-alarm fire in Flower Mound, Texas overnight.

According to the Flower Mound Fire Department, crews responded to the 2600 block of Gamma Road to the report of a structure fire at around 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning. 

The department said when crews arrived, they discovered that two homes were involved and it appeared that a wood fence between them had caught on fire and spread its way to both houses.

According to the department, two people and three dogs in one of the homes were woken up by firefighters at their door and everyone was safely evacuated. The occupants of the other home were not present at the time of the fire, the department said. 

No civilian or firefighter was injured during the incident and it was under control by about 2:52 a.m.
