Two local ponds to soon be stocked with catfish

In the San Antonio area, Millers Pond and Southside Lions Park will both be stocked with catfish.

SAN ANTONIO — Two local ponds will soon be stocked with catfish.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says catfish will be stocked every two to four weeks during the summer and winter seasons. The department says there should be enough supply of fish to continue fishing until August.

In the San Antonio area, Millers Pond and Southside Lions Park will both be stocked with catfish.

The stocking dates for Millers Pond are Apr. 20, May 4 & 18, June 1, 15, & 29, July 13 & 27, Sep. 7, & 21, Oct. 5 & 19 and Nov. 2

The stocking dates for Southside Lions Park are Apr. 20, May 4 & 18, June 1, 15, & 29, July 13 & 27, Sep. 7, & 21, Oct. 5 & 19, and Nov. 2.

Kids under 17 are able to fish for free, and adult licenses start as low as $11 (one day, all-water).
