SAN ANTONIO -- Two teachers at Robert L. Vale Middle School in Northside ISD have been punished after the district says their punishment went too far.
NISD said that on Monday choir teacher Michelle Jain caught two girls chewing gum in her class and made them put the gum in a jar and pick out a previously chewed piece and chew it.
Earlier this month basketball coach Richard Medugno reportedly made a basketball player clean up after himself after getting sick during practice, a district spokesperson said.
The actions were unnecessary, a spokesperson said. The coach served a three-day suspension and the choir teacher remains on leave.
