Two women robbed at gunpoint when they went to look at a car for sale, police say

Police arrested a man and woman they say were involved in the robbery, as well as a second man.

SAN ANTONIO — Two women were robbed when the arrived at a west-side location to a look at a car for sale Friday, police said.

Police say the victims had arranged to come look at a vehicle to possibly purchase at the 410 Heights Apartments near Loop 410 and I-10. That's when two thieves robbed them and took their personal belongings.

Officers were able to find the suspects' vehicle off Culebra near St. Mary's University. Police arrested a man and woman they say were involved in the robbery, as well as a second man. It is unclear if the second man is involved in this incident.

The man arrested was later identified as 28-year-old Retana Montelongo and the woman was identified as 33-year-old Ashley Rodriguez. They've been charged with aggravated robbery.

No injuries were reported.
