Universal City woman charged with murder after police say she told neighbors she killed her husband

Police said they found a deceased male upon arrival at the scene.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas — A woman was taken into custody after she allegedly told neighbors she killed her husband, according to the Universal City Police Department. Constance Faith Seinwill, 61, was charged with murder.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to the 100 block of Rising Star.

"A resident stated that his neighbor had come to his [home] saying that she had just murdered her husband," said Sgt. Christopher Rosales.

KENS 5 spoke with that neighbor off-camera who said he was friends with the couple. According to the neighbor, Ron and Constance Seinwill were fighting Tuesday night when the argument got physical. The neighbor claims Constance confessed to striking her husband over the head with an object repeatedly before going to bed.

Wednesday morning, the neighbor says Constance came over to his house in a state of distress and they called police.

Universal City investigators have not confirmed the events that took place.

“She had been drinking from our understanding the night before,” Sgt. Rosales said.

When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found Ron Seinwill deceased inside the couple's home. The 61-year-old woman was then taken into custody without incident.

A neighbor who lives next door to the victim said the couple, who had been married for nearly 25 years, appeared to have a rocky relationship.

“A lot of arguing and storming out," said the woman who wished not to be publicly identified. "They both drank, so all those combinations don’t go together. There was always ambulances and police cars over there. I'm surprised it hasn't happened before now."

Police said Constance Seinwill claimed to be seriously detoxing and she was briefly hospitalized before she was taken to the Bexar County Jail.
