Firefighters say the fire was contained to just the bedroom of the home, because the door to the room was closed.

DUNLAY, Texas — Firefighters found one victim inside a house fire in the Dunlay area, west of San Antonio, late Monday evening.

Officials say that just after 10 p.m., multiple fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire off CR 4639 in the Dunlay area.

Crews arrived within seven minutes and reported a working house fire, with one victim inside the home.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to a single bedroom saving the rest of the house and the belongings, mostly due to a closed bedroom door.

Photos showed the unburned side of the door as the fire was beginning to breakthrough and the bedroom that was totally consumed by the fire.

This closed door along with a quick response by trained crews from Station 10 in Castroville and Station 60 in Hondo, allowed the majority of the home to be saved.

No word on what may have caused the fire or the amount of damages caused.

This is a developing story.
