Volunteers needed for Basura Bash, the annual event to help clean up Brackenridge Park

Do you want to make a difference in your community?

SAN ANTONIO — Who's ready to make a difference in our community?

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy, in partnership with River Aid San Antonio, is looking for some volunteers to help clean up the park on Saturday, February 17 in celebration of Brackenridge Park's 125th anniversary.

Basura Bash, the annual community clean-up event, is celebrating their 29th year. This clean-up is especially important after the recent heavy rains we received, said event organizers.

Volunteers should wear long pants or jeans, closed toe shoes, and long sleeves. If you have work gloves, you are asked to please bring them. They are also encouraging you to wear sunscreen and bug repellent. They will be providing water.

If you would like to pitch in to help in Brackenridge Park, please visit their website at https://basurabash.org/brackenridge-park-brackenridge-conservancy to register or email Audrey Schneider Medina at: asmedina@brackenridgepark.org.

Please bring your completed liability forms to the event registration. All volunteers must turn one in prior to participating. Click Here to download the Liability Form
