SAN ANTONIO — A west-side house fire is under investigation after San Antonio police learned the homeowner's family had been threatened, authorities say.
Police said a man was detained Friday morning for threatening to burn down his mother's home.
Police and fire crews responded to a house fire around 1 a.m. in a neighborhood off Shady Grove and Greenberry Drive.
Fire officials said the fire started in the utility room and were able to quickly contain the fire.
According to officials everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.
The arson unit is looking into what caused the fire.
Police did not say if the man will face charges.
No other information was provided.
