One of the biggest questions we've heard in the aftermath of the fires in Sevier County is how to help.
So far, thousands of you have helped while showing your love for the East Tennessee mountains with the new Smokies Strong t-shirts.
In less than a week, more than $200,000 was raised for the American Red Cross. Now, as we continue to sell the shirts, the proceeds will be split between the Dollywood Foundation's My People Fund and the Friends of the Smokies.
WBIR teamed up with Bacon and Company and the Knoxville News Sentinel to support the effort.
The charcoal gray shirts are $15 each and feature an image of Tennessee, the Smoky Mountains, a heart, and the “Smokies Strong” message. They are available in adult and youth sizes.
You can buy them in the WBIR General Store and at participating Kroger, Food City, Walmart, and Alumni Hall stores around the East Tennessee area.
