'I just want justice for my MaryAnn' | Grandfather of 4-year-old girl killed in Windsor Hollow shooting speaks out

Isaiah Perales faces numerous charges, including capitol murder. His arrest follows an extensive investigation involving the tracing of Perales' digital footprint.

SAN ANTONIO — The grandfather of 4-year-old MaryAnn Marble, who was murdered in May when gunmen attacked her family's home on Windsor Hollow Drive, is hopeful that justice will be served after law enforcement arrested one person on Wednesday.

"I just want justice for my MaryAnn, that’s it. I just hope everybody that was involved pay for what they did to my little granddaughter,” said Hector Castillo. “When she died, it was like a big part of me just died as well. I still don’t feel good. I never will.”

On Wednesday, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 20-year-old Isaiah Perales, who had been taken into custody earlier this month for alleged auto crimes.

Perales faces numerous charges in connection to the May 8 shooting along Windsor Hollow Drive, including capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Castillo had been lacking faith in law enforcement, but after Perales’ arrest he feels more confident in the future of the investigation.

“I was kind of happy and grateful that they caught at least  somebody,” Castillo said.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said investigators were able to trace Perales’ phone in close proximity to Windsor Hollow Drive where the shooting took place.

Perales’ digital footsteps led law enforcement to Calaveras Lake this week where authorities recovered a Draco-style gun, which Salazar is certain is one of the weapons used in the shooting.

“I can’t say this definitively enough, there will be other arrests in this case,” Salazar said.

One of those persons of interest is Bryan Salazar, who, along with Perales, was recently arrested in connection to a car-theft operation.

Sheriff Salazar discovered Bryan Salazar deleted evidence potentially related to the Windsor Hollow shooting.

“None of us have slept the same since it happened and I know this is a horrible situation for them, they lost a little girl out of this,” Salazar said. “Just like they want to see those responsible facing prison time, we want to see the same.”

As the investigation continues, law enforcement are urging anyone with information that could lead to additional arrests to call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000.

There’s also a San Antonio Crime Stoppers award of up to $10,000. That number is (210) 224-7867.
