Woman crashes car into north-side apartment complex after leg cramp caused her to press the gas

The woman told police she just had gotten back from the gym and was pulling into her parking spot when her leg cramped up and made her accidently press the gas.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman crashed her vehicle into a north-side apartment complex.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the 11500 block of Vance Jackson after receiving reports that a vehicle had crashed into an apartment complex building.

Upon arrival officers said they spoke with the driver of the vehicle and started to investigate what had happened.

The woman reportedly told officers that she had just gotten back from the gym and was pulling into her parking spot when her leg cramped up and made her accidently press the gas. She tried to get ahold of the complex but no one was in the office so all she could do was call the police and leave a message for emergency maintenance.

Police said no one, including the driver, was hurt and they will file a crash report but don't expect any criminal charges to arise as the driver was cooperative and did not give any indication of intoxication.
