Woman killed by driver who claimed they did not see her, police say

It happened in the Medical Center area late Sunday night.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is dead after being hit by a driver in the Medical Center area that said they did not see her, according to police.

San Antonio Police responded to the the intersection of Babcock Road and Medical Drive around 11 p.m. Sunday for reports of an accident involving a pedestrian and a car.

When officers arrived, they found a woman in her 40s had been hit by a driver in a black sedan. That driver told police they did not see the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word on whether the driver will be facing any charges at this time.
