Woman seriously injured after being struck by pickup truck, police say

Investigators say the driver was being checked out for driving while intoxicated.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating a crash on the southwest side of San Antonio that sent a woman to the hospital late Tuesday evening.

San Antonio Police responded to the intersection of South Zarzamora Street at Vickers Avenue around 10 p.m. for reports of a driver hitting woman.

Officers say a woman allegedly ran out into the street and was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection, seriously injuring her.

Investigators say the driver was being checked out for driving while intoxicated. That woman who was hit by the truck was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

No other information was provided.

No word yet on if any arrests were made.
