SAN ANTONIO — A working woman, a singing legend, a refugee hiding in a nunnery, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and a ghost with the most will all grace the Wonder Theatre stage in 2025.

Wonder Theatre announced the shows it will be producing for the upcoming 2025 season at their location at the Wonderland of the Americas and it includes some beloved classics.

Saturday, the organization held its annual fundraiser, this year with an Alice in Wonderland theme, a nod to its new home. The new season was announced at the "Through the Looking Glass Affair." The new shows include 9 to 5 the Musical, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, Sister Act, Sweeney Todd and a youth production of Beetlejuice.

The theater organization, specializing in Broadway musicals, debuted its first show, Kinky Boots, at the new location earlier this year. Wonder Theatre took over the space previously occupied by the Santikos Bijou movie theater. Since then, audiences have enjoyed, not just Kinky Boots, but Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Wiz, as well as several youth productions and summer camps as part of its extensive youth theater training program. The Prom opens soon as well, which will include a main stage production and a teen version.

The Wonder Theatre organization was founded in 2012 at its previous home of the Historic Woodlawn Theatre.

You can purchase a season pass for the 2025 season as well. Check for updates at the Wonder Theatre's website for show dates and tickets.
