AUSTIN, Texas — Someone in Austin is $3 million richer!
A lucky resident won the top prize playing the Texas Lottery's scratch game $750 Million Winner Circle. According to lottery officials, the winning scratch ticket was sold at the Texan Mart along Interstate 35 near East Applegate Drive in northeast Austin.
The prize is the 11th out of 12 top prizes in the game to be claimed. The odds of winning any prize in the scratch game are one in 2.88, according to Texas Lottery.
It's been a few months since a lucky Texan won a prize in Central Texas. In October, someone in Burnet claimed the $1 million top prize playing the $1,000,000 Gold Rush scratch game.
In August, someone in Burnet also won a cool $4 million during a historic Mega Millions drawing that saw the jackpot soar to more than $1.5 billion.
