SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man was attacked and almost robbed while waiting to pick up a family member from work at H-E-B.
It happened at the H-E-B at Culebra and Bandera just after 2:00 a.m. Friday.
Police say the man was sitting in his car when two men walked up and slashed his back tire. The men also reportedly tried to rob the victim. The man fought back and was stabbed several times, including at least once in the back.
The man was taken to University hospital and should recover.
The attackers ran off and have not yet been arrested. Police say they took off in a white vehicle.
Police are still investigating.
